BACKGROUND: 

Bid No. 606228-22, for Hualapai Way - Russell Road to CC215, and Flamingo Road - Hualapai Way to Grand Canyon Drive Pavement Rehabilitation was advertised on July 14, 2022 and opened on August 23, 2022.  The Bid amount is as follows:

This Contract is for the pavement rehabilitation project located on the western part of the Las Vegas Valley, being that the Hualapai Way centerline is the boundary line between the Summerlin Jurisdiction to the west and the Spring Valley Jurisdiction to the east. The project scope includes milling to remove 1-inch of the existing asphalt surface and replacing it with 1-inch of UTACS on all travel lanes along Hualapai Way from approximately 360 feet north of Russell Road up to the south approach concrete slab of the CC215 bridge, and over Flamingo Road from Hualapai Way to Grand Canyon Drive. For the Hualapai Way portion, the construction of raised median islands is included. This work also includes vertically adjusting manholes and valve boxes as needed, replacing damaged or out of date signs, replacing pavement markings, installation of ITS conduit on Hualapai Way, upgrading street lighting lamps to LED along the entire project length, upgrading traffic signals, upgrading sidewalk ramps to meet ADA standards, and other necessary appurtenances required to make a complete and serviceable project.

The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
                     The Contractor shall complete the entire work within 150 calendar days from the date specified in the                      Notice to Proceed.
                     Includes the standard termination for cause within 7 business days and termination for convenience                      language as in all public works efforts of this type.

The recommendation of award is in accordance with NRS 338.1385.5, a public body or its authorized representative shall award a contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.

Las Vegas Paving Corporation currently holds a Clark County Business License.
