BACKGROUND:

On December 28, 2018, in accordance with the NRS 332 Resolution approved by the Board of County Commissioners (Board), the Department of Administrative Services, Purchasing and Contracts Division approved the award of CBE No. 605032-18 to Axon Enterprise, Inc. (LBE) in the amount of $171,411.35.

A Fiscal Directive No. 6, Competitive Bidding Exception, was approved because it is necessary to purchase the same items to match existing, due to training and network accessibility.

This Competitive Bidding Exception is for the purchase of body cameras and tasers with Axon Enterprises, Inc.

The following are the pertinent provisions of the:
The term of the approval was from date of award through August 28, 2022 and included the option to                      renew for 1, five-year period. There are no renewal options remaining.
Clark County is not under exclusive contract with Axon Enterprise, Inc. and therefore, can cease                      purchasing product / services at any time.

A revised Fiscal Directive No. 6, Competitive Bidding Exception, was approved to increase funding to allow for additional body cameras and taser to be worn by law enforcement officers, which extends coverage areas at CCDC.

This approval will provide for CCDC to purchase additional body cameras and tasers.

The Business License Department has determined that a Clark County Business License is not required for this effort.
