BACKGROUND:

On January 26, 2021, Clark County was awarded United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Emergency Solutions Grant - Coronavirus (ESG-CV) funds (Grant #E-20-UW-32-001) and Community Development Block Grant - Coronavirus (CDBG-CV) funds (Grant #B-20-UW-32-001) for the purpose of preventing, preparing for, and responding to COVID-19.

On May 24, 2021, the County Manager on behalf of the Board of County Commissioners approved the Agreement to Grant Clark County Emergency Solutions Grant - Coronavirus (ESG-CV) funds and Community Development Block Grant - Coronavirus (CDBG-CV) funds to Chicanos Por La Causa for the Operation HOME! Rapid Rehousing Program to assist homeless individuals who are at increased risk of experiencing severe illness from COVID-19 to quickly transition into permanent housing.

This Amendment No. 1 will reduce reprogrammed County ESG-CV funds, add County CDBG-CV funds, and add Human Services and Education Sales Tax funds to continue rapid rehousing services through June 30, 2023.
