The initial Contract amount was not to exceed $987,000. Amendment No. 1 will increase the Contract by an amount not to exceed $1,710,000, for a new total Contract amount not to exceed $2,697,000 should all renewal options be exercised. |
BACKGROUND:
On January 31, 2022, in accordance with the NRS 332 Resolution approved by the Board of County Commissioners (Board), the Department of Administrative Services, Purchasing and Contracts Division approved the award of CBE No. 606053-21 to Clean the World Foundation, Inc. (NBE) in the amount not to exceed $987,000 to provide for ongoing operations of three (3) mobile hygiene units (truck and customized trailer) throughout Southern Nevada. This project will address hygiene needs of those individuals experiencing homelessness within our community with an aim at slowing the spread of communicable disease.
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
• The term of the Contract was from December 31, 2020 through September 30, 2022.
• Included the County’s option to terminate for cause, convenience or default and suspend the Contract with advanced written notice.
Approval of Amendment No. 1 will add 3, one-year renewal options to allow for the continuation of services. The attached Amendment No. 1 document details the costs involved.
Clean the World Foundation, Inc. currently holds a Clark County Business License.
