BACKGROUND:

On December 21, 2021, the Board of County Commissioners approved a pre-qualification list to be used to select professional services providers for the period of January 1, 2022 through December 31, 2023.  Wallace Morris Kline Surveying, LLC (Limited Liability Company) was selected from the pre-qualification list, [Service] Surveying Construction Staking - Minor, to provide construction land surveying services on the Tropicana Avenue & University Center Drainage Improvements Phase 1 project (Bid No. 606273-22).

County staff negotiated the attached professional services contract with Wallace Morris Kline Surveying, LLC.  .  The contract describes the services to be provided and stipulated terms.  The time of performance is effective to August 11, 2025, unless time extensions are granted.  The project includes construction of an outfall storm drain for a future detention basin located between Paradise Road and University Center Drive and related appurtenances necessary to make a good, complete, and serviceable project.

Wallace Morris Kline Surveying, LLC currently holds a Clark County Business License.

Pursuant to Nevada Revised Statute 332.115(1)(b), contracts for professional services are not adapted to award by competitive bidding and, therefore, are exempt from the bidding requirements.

The District Attorney’s Office has reviewed and approved the contract as to form.
