BACKGROUND:

On November 17, 2015, the Board of County Commissioners of Clark County, Nevada, approved the establishment of a revolving imprest account in the amount of $5,000.00 for the Department of Parks and Recreation.  The purpose of this revolving imprest account was to allow the Department to make change at the Club at Sunrise Golf Course, as well as offering the convenience of accepting payments via credit cards.

On January 16, 2018, the Board of County Commissioners of Clark County, Nevada, approved a decrease to the imprest account from $5,000 to $2,500, and a change to the purpose of the account to a revolving change bank.

Since the number of customer transactions involving cash has diminished over the years, the Department no longer feels that it needs to maintain the current $2,500 balance in the change bank and would request a reduction to $1,400.

Appropriate adjustments will be made to the general ledger for the returned funds.
