The initial Contract amount was not to exceed $28,000,000. Amendment No. 1 increased the Contract by an amount not to exceed $7,487,172. Amendment No. 2 increased the Contract by an amount not to exceed $8,442,000. Amendment No. 3 increased the Contract by an amount not to exceed $6,174,552. Amendment No. 4 increased the Contract by an amount not to exceed $37,809,000. Amendment No. 5 will increase the Contract by an amount not to exceed $15,092,750, for a new total Contract amount not to exceed $103,005,474 should all renewal options be exercised. |
BACKGROUND:
On September 20, 2016, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the award of RFQ No. 604131-16 to provide Foster Care Services.
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contracts:
• The term of the Contract was from date of award through September 20, 2017, and included the option to renew for 3, one-year periods. There are no renewal options remaining.
• Included the County’s option to terminate for cause, convenience or default and suspend the Contract with advanced written notice.
Amendment No. 1 updated the daily rates for each category of Foster Care Services.
Amendment No. 2 increased the type of services, added the pricing associated with the services and included Contract services eligible for Federal Title IV-E funding reimbursement.
Amendment No. 3 reduced the type of services and revised the pricing.
Amendment No. 4 extended the term of the Contract through December 31, 2022 and replaced Exhibit D, Agency Foster Rate Care Schedule.
Approval of Amendment No. 5 will extend the term of the Contract through December 31, 2023. The attached Amendment No. 5 document details the costs involved.
