BACKGROUND:

Clark County approved the traffic study for the Southwest Career and Technical Academy requiring Clark County School District (CCSD) install a flashing beacon on Rainbow Boulevard between Windmill Lane and Shelbourne Avenue. Due to conflicts with existing utility lines, at CCSD expense, Clark County installed the flashing beacon outside of the public right-of-way on property leased to CCSD by the Bureau of Land Management.

The attached interlocal agreement with CCSD memorializes CCSD permitting the County to enter CCSD property to perform installation, maintenance and/or replacement of the flashing beacon, as solely determined by Clark County.  The conditions and terms are described in the interlocal agreement as they relate to both the County and CCSD.

The CCSD Board of Trustees approved the interlocal agreement on December 8, 2022.

The District Attorney’s Office has reviewed and approved the interlocal agreement as to form.
