BACKGROUND:

On February 4, 2020, the Board of County Commissioners approved the Professional Services Contract (Contract) between Clark County and AECOM Technical Services, Inc. (Company) for owner representation for design and construction projects within the Airport System with a term of one year with two (2) one-year options.

This Amendment No. 01 (Amendment) will extend the term of the contract for an additional year, with two (2) one-year options and add funding in the amount of $3,000,000.00 for a revised contract not to exceed $12,000,000.00 if all options are exercised. This Contract will provide design and construction services on an as needed basis. The extension is needed due to delays in project timelines as a result of the pandemic. This Amendment is critical for the Department of Aviation to meet the anticipated project demands related to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, through which the department is tasked with spending approximately $44 million in federal funds for airport infrastructure improvements in year one of the five-year program.

In accordance with NRS 332.115.1(b), the services to be performed are professional in nature and therefore exempt from competitive bidding requirements.

This Amendment has been reviewed and approved as to form by the District Attorney's Office. Company currently holds a Clark County Business License.
