BACKGROUND:

Pursuant to NRS 354.609, on April 7, 2015, the Board adopted a resolution establishing a revolving cash account/change fund for the Henderson Constable to be used for providing change to customers making payments for services at the office’s walk-up counter.

The Henderson Constable will be taking over the operation of the former Boulder City Township Constable Office location at 501 Avenue G, Boulder City, NV effective January 2, 2023 as the Boulder City Township Constable’s Office has been abolished per July 19, 2022 BCC agenda item #96.  By increasing the Henderson Constable’s change fund to $500, the Office will be able to maintain a sufficient amount of smaller denomination cash notes to include the Boulder City location to give change to customers paying fees with cash.
