Annual Requirements Contract for Air Transportation of Inmates

Additional Comments:

The total Contract award is in the amount of not to exceed $2,265,000 should all renewal options be exercised.

 

BACKGROUND: 

This Contract is for Annual Requirements Contract for Air Transportation of Inmates with Hangar 7 Inc. dba Hangar 7 Aviation (NBE).

A Fiscal Directive No. 6, Competitive Bidding Exception, was approved because Hanger 7 Aviation is the only vendor that can supply the specified airline to transport inmates.

The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
•                     The term of the Contract is from date of award through June 30, 2023 and includes the option to renew                      for 4, one-year periods.
•                     Includes the option to increase the award amount up to 3% for possible price increases for renewal terms.
•                     Includes the County’s option to terminate for cause, convenience or default and suspend the Contract with                      advanced written notice.

The recommendation of award is in accordance with NRS 332.115.1(b), the competitive bidding process is not required as the services to be performed are professional in nature.

Hangar 7 Inc. dba Hangar 7 Aviation currently holds a Vendor Registration.
