BACKGROUND:

On May 15, 2018, the Board of County Commissioners approved and authorized the acquisition by negotiation a portion of Assessor's Parcel Number 162-22-202-001 (4300 Acquisition LLC) needed for the improvements to Paradise Road between Harmon Avenue and Sands Avenue. County Public Works staff presented an offer; however, the property owner has been unresponsive.  Thereby, authorization to initiate a condemnation action is being requested from the Board.

Nevada Revised Statute 241.034 and the Resolution of Clark County adopted on September 5, 2006, requires the County to serve the property owner with written notice informing the property owner that the County will be considering acquiring the property by eminent domain.  Such notice was mailed in a timely manner prior to the submission of this item to the Board.
