Wireless Site License Fees

Additional Comments:

The wireless site license fee is $591.54 per site per year, or $2,983.89 per site per year for certain smart poles on Las Vegas Blvd., with annual increases based on annual increases in CPI.

 

BACKGROUND: 

Cox Nevada Telcom, L.L.C. is a communication service company that has requested that it be allowed to use space on public streetlight poles to construct, operate and maintain telecommunications networks for and on behalf of its wireless carrier customers in the County. This Agreement would allow Cox Nevada Telcom to install antennas on streetlight poles in the County rights-of-way. In exchange, Cox Nevada Telcom would pay the County $591.54 per site per year or $2,983.89 per site per year for certain smart poles on Las Vegas Blvd., subject to annual increases based on annual increases in the CPI. The term of the Agreement is ten years.   

The Board is requested to approve the attached Wireless Use License Agreement with Cox Nevada Telcom, L.L.C.
