The initial Contract amount was $13,427,826.75, Amendment No. 1 increased the Contract amount by $2,685,565.35, Amendment No. 2 will increase the Contract amount by $2,685,565.35, for a new total Contract amount of $18,798,957.45 should all renewal option be exercised, with increased user requirements included. |
BACKGROUND:
On June 20, 2017, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the award of RFQ No. 604376-17 for Apple Grove Treatment Center, LLC dba Apple Grove Foster Care Agency (NBE), Bamboo Sunrise, LLC (NBE), Eagle Quest (NBE) and Specialized Alternatives for Families and Youth of Nevada, Inc. (NBE) in the amount of $13,427,826.75 should all renewals be exercised.
St. Jude's for Children - Nevada Region, Inc., dba St. Jude's Ranch and HELP of Southern Nevada were qualified and awarded after the original award and in accordance with the terms of the original Board award agenda.
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
• The term of the Contract was from date of award through June 30, 2018 and included the option to renew for 4, one-year periods. There are 0 options remaining.
• Included the option to increase the award amount up to 25% based on possible increased user requirements for the renewal terms and approved budget appropriations.
• Included the County’s option to terminate for cause, convenience or default and suspend the Contract with advanced written notice.
Amendment No. 1 provided for a 12-month extension for the Contract term through June 30, 2023 on a month to month basis.
Approval of Amendment No. 2 will provide another 12-month of the Contract term through June 30, 2024 on a month to month basis. The amendment also includes increasing the cost per day for Alternate Living Services. The attached Amendment No. 2 document details the modifications and costs involved.
Apple Grove Treatment Center, LLC dba Apple Grove Foster Care Agency, Bamboo Sunrise, LLC, Eagle Quest, Specialized Alternatives for Families and Youth of Nevada, Inc., St. Jude's for Children - Nevada Region, Inc., dba St. Jude's ranch for Children and HELP of Southern Nevada currently hold Clark County Business Licenses.
