BACKGROUND:
On January 4, 2021, the Board of County Commissioners approved the contract award of Bid No. 605717-20 in the amount of $17,888,367, to William Charles, Inc. (the "Contractor"), for the Desert Inn Road between Blue Ash Lane and Hollywood Boulevard project, for construction of roadway improvements on Desert Inn Road from Blue Ash Lane to Hollywood Boulevard and a new bridge crossing at the Las Vegas Wash.
Change Order No. 1 for $1,300,000 increases the total project funding to $19,188,367, providing funds for additional work due to conflicts encountered during construction including replacing missing pipe between the County's tie-in point and the City of Las Vegas valve, plan revisions by Las Vegas Valley Water District, and relocation of communication lines to resolve utility conflicts with NV Energy, Cox Communications, and CenturyLink.
William Charles, Inc. currently holds a Clark County Business License.
