The amount of license fees that would be generated is dependent upon the number of taverns that would obtain a business license and their applicable revenue which is unknown at this time.

 

BACKGROUND: 

On November 1, 2022, the Board of County Commissioners directed staff to draft an ordinance to allow for additional gaming and liquor licenses in the Commercial Center.

The proposed ordinance was introduced at the Board of County Commissioners' meeting on March 7, 2023, and a public hearing was set for March 21, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Staff recommends approval of the ordinance to amend Title 8, Chapter 8.20; Section 8.20.295 of the County Code.
