BACKGROUND:

The application for Mack Pawn located at 1995 N. Nellis Blvd. Unit A-1, Las Vegas, NV 89115 was approved by the Board of County Commissioners on March 7, 2023.

The Department of Business License received a new application with a change of ownership for SUPERPAWN located at 1995 N. Nellis Blvd. Unit A-1, Las Vegas, NV 89115 on March 28, 2023.  All required documents have been received and business license fees have been paid.  The applicant received a 90-day temporary approval for fire safety.  The applicant's suitability investigation with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is currently pending.  The applicant has requested a temporary license to protect the goodwill, clientele, and assets of the licensed and operating business during investigation of the new or proposed owner.

Staff recommends that the Board approve a 90-day temporary license and authorize the Director of Business License to issue a permanent license if the suitability investigation is completed without any areas of concern and upon receipt of final approval for fire safety.
