BACKGROUND:
NRS 354.598 requires that the Final Budget be adopted by the governing body and transmitted to the State of Nevada Department of Taxation on or before June 1. The public hearing on the Tentative Budget must precede the adoption of the Final Budget.
The Budget, once adopted by the Board of County Commissioners, becomes the legal operating plan for Clark County, the unincorporated towns and special districts, the University Medical Center and the Clark County Water Reclamation District. Therefore, the Board is being asked to adopt the FY 2024 Final budget, in accordance with law, as the operating plans for the respective Agencies, for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2023.
