BACKGROUND:

On December 21, 2021, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the award of Bid No. 605955-21 for Wagon Trail Channel - Sunset Road to Teco Avenue to Tand, Inc. (NBE) in the amount of $2,371,530 for the construction of 10-ft x 4-ft RCB, 7-ft x 6-ft RCB junction structures, structural connections to existing facilities, transition structures, maintenance access vaults, lateral storm drain pipes, drop inlets, pavement removal and replacement, utility relocations, pavement striping, signage, and other miscellaneous associated improvements.

The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
The Contractor shall complete the entire work within 150 calendar days from the date specified after the                      receipt of the Notice to Proceed.
Included the standard termination for cause within 7 business days and termination for convenience                      language as in all public works efforts of this type.

Change Order No. 1 extended the Contract by 27 calendar days and approved additional work for a 6-inch sanitary sewer lateral that was in conflict with the RCB and not shown on the plans. The Contractor sent RFI #04 to CCPW to resolve the issue and relocated the lateral.

Change Order No. 2 extended the Contract by 14 calendar days and provided for the removal and replacement of additional pavement on Sunset Road adjacent to this project that was failing. Additional UTACS were also placed. The removal and replacement of this pavement completed the needed repairs in the immediate area.

Approval of Change Order No. 3 will extend the Contract by 14 calendar days and provide for construction of a new manhole, ADA ramps and an additional cross gutter.  The attached Change Order No. 3 document details the modifications and costs involved.

Tand, Inc. currently holds a Clark County Business License.
