BACKGROUND:

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) has approved and budgeted funding for the Harmon Avenue from Maryland Parkway to Pecos Road project in the Highway Improvement Acquisition Fund - Fuel Revenue Indexing for Fiscal Year 2023. The design is 90 percent complete and all necessary rights-of-way have been obtained for this project.

The attached Interlocal Contract No. 3095 allocates funds for construction on Harmon Avenue from Maryland Parkway to Pecos Road with improvements to consist of pavement rehabilitation, pavement widening, replacement of substandard Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) facilities, curb gutter, sidewalk, bike lanes, storm drains, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), and other appurtenances necessary to construct a complete and functional project. The time of performance is effective to June 30, 2028, unless time extensions are granted.

RTC approved the interlocal contract at its meeting on April 13, 2023.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the interlocal contract as to form.
