BACKGROUND:

On February 10, 2022, the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) approved Interlocal Contract No. 1350 for the FAST (Freeway and Arterial System of Transportation) Traffic Signal System Software Evaluation project in RTC's Highway Improvement Acquisition Fund, Fuel Revenue Indexing for Fiscal Year 2022. RTC intends to improve Traffic Signal Software Evaluation within jurisdictions of Clark County, City of Las Vegas, City of North Las Vegas, City of Henderson, City of Boulder City, and City of Mesquite (collectively "Member Entities"). The Board of County Commissioners approved this contract on March 1, 2022.

The Board and RTC previously approved one supplemental to Interlocal Contract No. 1350 to increase funds for the subject project, and update funding to Fuel Revenue Indexing for Fiscal Year 2023.

The attached Supplemental No. 2 to Interlocal Contract No. 1350 will provide additional funds to develop requirements for a Central Traffic Signal System to cover the negotiated contract amount with the selected consultant. The time of performance remains effective to June 30, 2027, unless time extensions are granted.

RTC approved the second supplemental contract at its meeting on April 13, 2023.

Each of the Member Entities is scheduled to approve the second supplemental contract at their respective Board/Council meetings.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the second supplemental contract as to form.
