BACKGROUND:

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) has approved and budgeted funding for the Badura Avenue between Durango Drive and Tenaya Way project in the Highway Improvement Acquisition Fund - Fuel Revenue Indexing for Fiscal Year 2024. The design is 90 percent complete, and all necessary rights-of-way to construct the project have been obtained.

The attached Interlocal Contract No. 3121 allocates funds for construction of the Badura Avenue between Durango Drive and Tenaya Way project. The project consists of roadway improvements including pavement rehabilitation, roadway expansion, traffic signal modifications, storm drain installation, sidewalk restoration, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance, curb and gutter, striping and traffic signals. The time of performance is effective until December 31, 2028, unless time extensions are granted.

RTC approved the interlocal contract at its meeting on October 12, 2023.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the interlocal contract as to form.
