BACKGROUND: 

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) has approved Interlocal Contract No. 3135 and budgeted funding for the Searchlight: Cottonwood Cove Trail between US-95 and Michael Wendell Way project in RTC's Highway Improvement Acquisition Fund - Fuel Revenue Indexing Direct Distribution Fund for Fiscal Year 2024.

Interlocal Contract No. 3135 allocates funds to construct the Searchlight: Cottonwood Cove Trail between US-95 and Michael Wendell Way project. The project consists of improvements on Cottonwood Cove Road from US-95 to Michael Wendell Way in Searchlight, Nevada. All necessary right-of-way to construct the project has been obtained, and Clark County is ready to advertise the project for construction. The time of performance is effective until June 30, 2029, unless time extensions are granted.

RTC approved the interlocal contract at its meeting on March 14, 2024.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the interlocal contract as to form.
