BACKGROUND:

On November 20, 2018, the Board of County Commissioners approved a professional engineering services contract with CH2M Hill Engineers, Inc. to provide engineering services for the design of the Jim McGaughey Detention Basin, Collection Basin and Outfall project (formerly known as the Owens Detention Basin and Outfall project).

The Board and CH2M Hill Engineers, Inc. previously approved two supplementals to the engineering services contract increasing funds for extra utility coordination, environmental reports, geotechnical reports, design of the Los Feliz storm drain, sidewalk, Master Plan amendment/change, and extended the time of performance.

Supplemental No. 3 to the professional services contract with CH2M Hill Engineers, Inc. increases total funds for engineering services for design and coordination with adjacent development to address additional Clark County Regional Flood Control District/Nevada Division of Environmental Protection/Clark County Air Quality requirements, additional survey and legal descriptions, additional structural design, and additional geotechnical investigation.  This third supplemental contract will also extend the time of performance until December 31, 2025, unless further time extensions are granted.

CH2M Hill Engineers, Inc. currently holds a Clark County Business License.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the third supplemental contract as to form.
