BACKGROUND:

On November 30, 2022, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the award of CBE No. 606362-22 for Exceptional Events Demonstration Development to Sonoma Technology, Inc. (LBE) in the amount of $1,998,000 for preparation of U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approvable exceptional events demonstrations due to stratospheric intrusion, wildfire, high wind, and firework events.

The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:

The term of the Contract was from date of award through December 31, 2028.
Included the County’s option to terminate for cause, convenience or default and suspend the Contract                      with advanced written notice.

Amendment No. 1 provided additional Volatile Organic Compounds sampling services to the Scope of Work.

Approval of Amendment No. 2 will provide for modifications to the services necessary because of recent changes to EPA requirements.  The attached Amendment No. 2 document details the modifications and costs involved.
