STOP Sexual Assault - Prosecution of Crimes Against Women

Additional Comments:

County required 25% in-kind matching funds will be salary and benefits expenses of existing Attorney staff in the amount of $ 28,333.33.

 

BACKGROUND: 

Since 2011, funding has been awarded through the Nevada Attorney General's Office for positions for the Clark County District Attorney's office through the STOP/SASP Violence Against Women Formula Subgrant. This request will provide the continuation of one victim advocate and three part time management assistant positions. These positions are dedicated to the Criminal Division's Physical and Sexual Abuse Unit, assisting in serving process for the prosecution of violent adult sexual assault crimes and providing advocate services to the victims of crime.

Staff requests that the Board ratify the submission of the grant application and accept any funds awarded.
