BACKGROUND:
Bid No. 606917-23, for Maryland Parkway Overhead Utility Undergrounding - Tropicana Avenue to Flamingo Road was advertised on January 30, 2024 and opened on February 26, 2024. The Bid amounts are as follows:

This Contract is for improvements on Maryland Parkway from 650 feet south of Tropicana Avenue to 200 feet north of Flamingo Road, a length of approximately one mile. The project includes installing a shared utility conduit duct bank to facilitate the undergrounding of overhead utility lines on the east side of Maryland Parkway. Transverse utility crossings requested by the utilities will be also installed. Existing overhead utility lines to be undergrounded include NV Energy, Cox, and Lumen. Work will include removal and reconstruction of bituminous pavement, curb & gutter, sidewalk, raised median, and pavement markings, and adjustment/relocation of existing utilities. The work also consists of miscellaneous removal and disposal and removal and salvage/replacement of designated items, traffic control, dust control, quality control, and other related items of work as specified and shown on the drawings.
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
• The Contractor shall complete the entire work within 180 calendar days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed.
• Includes the standard termination for cause within 7 business days and termination for convenience language as in all public works efforts of this type.
The recommendation of award is in accordance with NRS 338.1385.5, a public body or its authorized representative shall award a contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
Byrd Underground, LLC currently holds a Clark County Business License.
