BACKGROUND:
NRS 354.609 requires the adoption of a resolution to establish a revolving change bank.
The Department of Parks and Recreation requests to increase its revolving change bank by $120 to the amount of $3,370 for the purpose of providing change and accepting cash payments at aquatic centers, community centers, and at County-sponsored events.
Pursuant to NRS 354.609, on September 19, 2006, the Board adopted a resolution establishing a revolving cash account/change bank in the Recreation Activity Fund to be used for providing change to Parks and Recreation customers making payments for services at the department’s various aquatic centers, community centers, and at County-sponsored events.
The department has identified a need for a $30 change bank at its Melvin Ennis Recreation Center located at 2436 North Pecos Road as well as a $90 change bank at its Silverado Ranch Community Center located at 9855 Gilespie St. By increasing the Recreation Activity Fund’s revolving change bank to $3,370, the Department of Parks and Recreation will be able to maintain a sufficient amount of smaller denomination cash notes to include those locations to give change to customers paying fees with cash.
