BACKGROUND: 

Assembly Bill 1 (AB 1) approved by the 2016 Special Session of the Nevada Legislature, authorized the Board of County Commissioners of Clark County, Nevada to increase sales and use tax by one-tenth of one percent (0.10%) for the purpose of employing and equipping additional police officers to address crime prevention as authorized by the Clark County Crime Prevention Act of 2016.  On November 15, 2016, the Board adopted Ordinance number 4447 imposing the increase in sales and use tax effective on April 1, 2017.

In accordance with Section 9(4) of AB 1 the Board adopts the following allocations to the various police departments for the 2025-2026 fiscal year:
