Southwest Ridge Trail Cash Match

Additional Comments:

Transfer appropriations from the Park District 3 subfund within the Residential Construction Tax Fund (2110.003) to the Recreation Capital Improvement Fund (4110.000) for a grant cash match for construction of additional trails at Southwest Ridge.

 

BACKGROUND: 

The Southern Nevada Mountain Bike Coalition (SNMBC) intends to apply for a Conserve Nevada grant for the construction of additional trails at Southwest Ridge for up to $1,000,000. The grant application requires a 10% cash match. The County will commit $100,000 from the Subdivision Park Fees Fund (2110.003) for the purpose of the cash match. If SNMBC is granted the award from Conserve Nevada, they will be required to enter into a donation and construction agreement with the County. Construction of the trails shall be to County standards.
