BACKGROUND:

The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) has approved the Vegas Valley Drive between Lamb Boulevard and Las Vegas Wash project on its annual Capital Improvement Program from its Highway Improvement Acquisition Fund - Fuel Revenue Indexing for Fiscal Year 2025.

Interlocal Contract No. 3156 provides funds for construction of the subject project. The project consists of signal modifications along Vegas Valley Drive at the intersections of Lamb Boulevard, Parkdale Avenue, Mountain Vista Street, Nellis Boulevard, and Cabana Drive. This project also includes a pedestrian flasher system, streetlight pole installation, streetlight wire theft replacement, intelligent transportations systems (ITS) conduit and pullbox installation, pavement mill and overlay, full-depth pavement replacement, utility manhole adjustments, concrete flatwork replacement, sidewalk panel patching, tack-on median installation, drop inlet top replacements, striping, and signage. This project also includes storm drains at the intersections of Vegas Valley Drive and Green Tree Avenue, and Vegas Valley Drive and Tahoe Drive. All necessary right-of-way to construct the project has been obtained, and Clark County is ready to advertise the project for construction. The time of performance is effective until June 30, 2030, unless time extensions are granted.

RTC has prepared Interlocal Contract No. 3156 for the Board's consideration. RTC approved the interlocal contract at its meeting on March 13, 2025.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the interlocal contract as to form.
