BACKGROUND:
On June 23, 2023, State of Minnesota awarded Sourcewell Contract No. 041123-MSL Sports Lighting Solutions with Related Technology, Equipment, and Services to Musco Sports Lighting, LLC (OBE). This approval provides for Sports Lighting Solutions with Related Technology, Equipment, and Services.
A Fiscal Directive No. 6, Competitive Bidding Exception, was approved because Musco Sports Lighting is an integral component to many County facilities and parks. Recently projects with Sports Lighting are being specified as the basis of design by our consultants as Musco Sports Lighting and many existing locations are utilizing Musco Sports Lighting. Having the ability to participate in this program and procure materials from Musco Sport Lighting, LLC directly will greatly benefit the County and Community by being diligent in managing Tax Payer Funds in a deliberate manner that facilitates greater project budget adherence opportunities, guarantee of future maintenance consistency, ensuring product performance is uniform at all locations, and will help mitigate certain procurement/schedule delays.
The following are the pertinent provisions of this approval:
• The term of the Contract being utilized is from date of award through June 16, 2027 and includes the option to renew for 3, one-year periods.
• Clark County is not under exclusive contract with Musco Sports Lighting, LLC, and therefore, can cease purchasing product / services at any time.
This approval is in accordance with NRS 332.195.1, a governing body or its authorized representative may enter into a contract pursuant to a solicitation by (b) the State of Nevada or another state with the authorization of the contracting vendor.
Musco Sports Lighting, LLC currently holds a Clark County Business License.
