BACKGROUND:
On June 19, 2023, State of Minnesota awarded Sourcewell Contract No. 030223-DAK Scoreboards, Digital Displays, and Video Boards with Related Services to Daktronics, Inc. (OBE). This approval provides Scoreboards, Digital Displays, and Video Boards with Related Services.
A Fiscal Directive No. 6, Competitive Bidding Exception, was approved for Daktronics digital scoreboards and digital displays are an integral component to many County facilities and ballparks. Recent projects with digital scoreboards are being specified as the basis of design by our consultants and many existing locations are utilizing Daktronics. Having the ability to participate in this program and procure materials from Daktronics, Inc. directly will greatly benefit the County and Community by being diligent in managing taxpayer funds in a deliberate manner that facilitates greater project budget adherence opportunities, guarantee of future maintenance consistency, ensuring product performance is uniform at all locations, and will help mitigate certain procurement/schedule delays.
The following are the pertinent provisions of this approval:
• The term of the Contract being utilized is from June 19, 2023 through May 25, 2027 and includes the option to renew for 1, one-year period.
• Clark County is not under exclusive contract with Daktronics, Inc., and therefore, can cease purchasing product / services at any time.
This approval is in accordance with NRS 332.195.1, a governing body or its authorized representative may enter into a contract pursuant to a solicitation by (b) the State of Nevada or another state with the authorization of the contracting vendor.
Daktronics, Inc. currently holds a Clark County Business License.
