BACKGROUND: 

At the April 21, 2020, Clark County Board of County Commissioner's meeting, the Board created the COVID-19 Fund (2980) in response to the unprecedented challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic. The primary purpose of this fund was to receive and manage financial resources allocated to the County for pandemic-related expenditures, including funding from the CARES Act and other federal and state support. The Board is being asked to repurpose Fund 2980 into the Community Reinvestment Fund. This name change reflects a continued focus towards community reinvestment.

Following the adoption of this resolution, a copy will be forwarded to the State of Nevada Department of Taxation.
