BACKGROUND:
On April 5, 2022, the Board of County Commissioners approved the contract award of Bid No. 605978-21 in the amount of $54,900,000, to Las Vegas Paving Corporation for the Las Vegas Boulevard Roadway Improvements between Tropicana Avenue and Flamingo Road (Phase E & F) project, for the construction of roadway, utility, and miscellaneous improvements to Las Vegas Boulevard from Tropicana Avenue to Flamingo Road, as well as Tropicana Avenue from Las Vegas Boulevard to Koval Lane.
Change Order No. 2 for $1,314,049 increases the total project funding to $56,464,049, providing funds for added scope of work to abandon Las Vegas Valley Water District's (LVVWD) existing 30" and 36" main waterline on Las Vegas Boulevard between Hidden Well Road and Russell Road. Near the completion of the Las Vegas Boulevard Roadway Improvements (Phase B) project, it was determined that the existing main 36" waterline was not able to be isolated and shutdown for the specified abandonment procedure. During the timeframe of the Las Vegas Boulevard Roadway Improvements (Phase B) project nearing completion of their punch list activities, LVVWD and Clark County Public Works requested the abandonment of the 30" and 36" main waterline be completed as part of the Las Vegas Boulevard Roadway Improvements (Phase E & F) project. The financial impact of this contract change order is to be paid for by LVVWD. This additional scope of work shall add forty (40) additional calendar days to the project.
Las Vegas Paving Corporation currently holds a Clark County Business License.
