BACKGROUND:

The Clark County Regional Flood Control District (RFCD) has programmed funds for the design and construction of flood control improvements. On August 8, 2024, Clark County and RFCD entered into an interlocal contract for construction of the State Route 163, Phase 2 - Sediment Basin project located on the south side of State Route 163, approximately a quarter of a mile west of Casino Drive in Laughlin, Nevada. The Board of County Commissioners approved the interlocal contract on September 3, 2024.

Supplemental No. 1 to the interlocal contract increases funds to cover the bid amount, which is higher than the engineer's estimate. The time of performance remains effective until June 30, 2029, unless time extensions are granted.

RFCD approved the first supplemental contract at its meeting on April 10, 2025.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the first supplemental contract as to form.
