BACKGROUND:

The Clark County Regional Flood Control District (RFCD) has approved and programmed funds for flood control improvements for the Orchard Collector between Charleston Boulevard and Linden Avenue project. The project begins approximately one-half mile east of the Charleston Boulevard and Hollywood Boulevard intersection, and extends the north inflow levee (SLOR 0148) approximately 0.9 miles farther north to protect residences downstream of the Frenchman Range, and is identified as SLOR 0158 in the Las Vegas Valley 2023 Flood Control Master Plan Update (MPU).

The attached interlocal contract will provide funds in Year 1 of RFCD's Ten-Year Construction Program for construction of the Orchard Collector between Charleston Boulevard and Linden Avenue project. The project consists of approximately 4,800 feet of concrete and roller-compacted concrete lined channels/levees to convey runoff from the north to the existing Orchard Detention Basin inflow facility.

The time of performance is effective until June 30, 2029, unless time extensions are granted.

RFCD approved the interlocal contract at its meeting on April 10, 2025.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the interlocal contract as to form.
