The County will advance the entire amount and be reimbursed approximately 95% ($427,500) of the total project costs. The county will ultimately pay not more than $22,500.

 

BACKGROUND: 

The Clean Diesel Street Sweeper Project is a cooperative effort between Clark County and Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) for the purchase of one (1) street sweeper that meets standards aimed at reducing diesel emissions and improving air quality under the Diesel Emission Reduction Act of 2012 (DERA).

The total project cost is $450,000, and has been approved for 95% Federal funding from the Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement (CMAQ) program. Accordingly, the County is required to pay the remaining funds in the amount of $22,500 as part of the total project cost. The attached cooperative (local public agency) agreement formalizes this requirement, and identifies the responsibilities of both the County and NDOT.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the cooperative agreement as to form.
