BACKGROUND:

On March 4, 2025, Clark County (County) submitted an offer to purchase 6925 Donald Nelson Avenue, Las Vegas, NV 89131 (Property). The escrow on the Property is due to close on July 8, 2025. Upon closing, the County desires to lease the Property to the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension (UNCE) for use as an equestrian and livestock learning facility for public and recreational purposes.

The terms of the Interlocal Lease Agreement (ILA) shall be for a period of five (5) years. There is no requirement for payment of rent. UNCE shall maintain and operate the Property as its sole expense. Should the Property not be acquired, the ILA will be void and of no further effect.

Pursuant to NRS 277.050, the Board of Clark County Commissioners (Board) may lease County-owned real property to another public agency without consideration and without advertising for public bids on such terms as authorized by the Board after holding a public hearing at which objections by the public may be heard. The public hearing shall be set for June 17, 2025 at 10:00 a.m.
