BACKGROUND:
On September 17, 2024, The Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved funding in the amount of $2,607,500. On April 1, 2025, the Board selected The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company (NBE) for Pre-construction Services for Paradise Park Pool & Waterslide Replacement & Bath House Refurbishment, pursuant to Request for Proposal (RFP) No. 607392-24.
This Contract is for construction services for Paradise Park Pool & Waterslide Replacement & Bath House Refurbishment. The project will include necessary demolition to investigate and make repairs to the piping and structure of the pool deck and surfaces, and provide/repair both pool equipment and pool surfaces in order to make usable for the public.
This initial GMP attached is for owner's contingency.
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
• The term of the Contract shall be from the date of the Notice to Proceed through Final Completion of Construction Services.
• Includes the County’s option to terminate for cause, convenience or default and suspend the Contract with advanced written notice.
The recommendation of award is in accordance with NRS 338.16935, contract between construction manager at risk for certain construction services.
The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company currently holds a Clark County Business License.
