BACKGROUND:
On February 10, 2022, the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) approved Interlocal Contract No. 1350 for the FAST (Freeway and Arterial System of Transportation) Traffic Signal System Software Evaluation project to improve Traffic Signal Software Evaluation within jurisdictions of Clark County, City of Las Vegas, City of North Las Vegas, City of Henderson, City of Boulder City, and City of Mesquite (collectively "Member Entities"). The Board of County Commissioners approved this contract on March 1, 2022.
The Board and RTC previously approved four supplementals to Interlocal Contract No. 1350 to increase funds for the subject project and update the fund.
Supplemental No. 5 to Interlocal Contract No. 1350 will increase the contract amount. The funding will be used for the purchase and deployment of the traffic signal controllers and firmware. The time of performance remains effective to June 30, 2027, unless time extensions are granted.
RTC has prepared the fifth supplemental contract for the Board's consideration. RTC approved the fifth supplemental contract at its meeting on October 9, 2025.
The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the fifth supplemental contract as to form.
