BACKGROUND:
On February 7, 2017, the Board of County Commissioners approved a professional engineering services contract with Atkins North America, Inc. for engineering services for the Desert Inn Road between Nellis Boulevard and Hollywood Boulevard project.
The Board previously approved Supplemental No. 1 to the contract that provided additional design services to update the hydrologic and hydraulic analyses on the Las Vegas Wash and incorporate any design changes into the plans and specifications.
The attached Supplemental No. 2 will provide additional services and compensation to continue to provide construction support for the first phase of this project, Desert Inn Road between Blue Ash Lane and Hollywood Boulevard, currently under construction and estimated to be completed by October 31, 2021; and to make the second phase, Desert Inn Road between Nellis Boulevard and Blue Ash Lane, a stand-alone bid set, and to provide construction support services for the second phase. The time of performance for the second phase is unchanged from December 31, 2022, unless time extensions are granted at a later date.
Atkins North America, Inc. currently holds a Clark County Business License.
The District Attorney’s Office has reviewed and approved the second supplemental contract as to form.
