BACKGROUND: 

On June 1, 2021, the Clark County Board of Commissioners passed a resolution, under the provisions of NRS 279.436 declaring that there was a need for the redevelopment agency to function.

This resolution will identify new areas within unincorporated Clark County that may meet the definition of a "Blighted Area" under NRS 279.388 and that can benefit from the policies and tools available for redevelopment of communities within NRS 279. 

Staff will work with consultants to conduct and prepare a blight study report on all designated evaluation areas for the BCC to consider inclusions and amendments to the current redevelopment plan.
