First Amendment to ILA with CRC for electrical improvements at FWRC.

 

BACKGROUND: 

The Colorado River Commission (CRC) and Clark County Water Reclamation District (District) entered into an INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT, CONTRACT NO. CRCPDP-200 ("Original Interlocal Agreement") on June 10, 2009 for the construction, operation, and maintenance of electric facilities supporting the Flamingo Water Resource Center (the “FWRC”).

The District is designing an expansion of wastewater treatment facilities at the FWRC, which will require an additional power load. The CRC is willing to purchase materials and design, construct, operate and maintain the additional electrical facilities to support the District's project. The District and CRC propose to amend the Original Interlocal Agreement to include the expanded scope of work.

The attached amendment to the interlocal agreement further details the responsibilities of both the District and the CRC as they relate to the expansion of electric facilities at the FWRC.  Staff recommends the Board’s approval and authorization for the General Manager to sign the amendment.
