BACKGROUND:
In coordination with the re-authorization of the Clark County Redevelopment Agency, each commission district not containing redevelopment areas was allocated $2.5 million in funds from the FY22 capital budget to focus on economic development opportunities within each district.Clark County Commissioner Kirkpatrick wishes to establish homeowner and business owner grants in partnership with economic development non-profit Grow America to support residential and commercial real property improvements for District B. Residential grants will not exceed $5,000. Commercial grants will not exceed $10,000. Grow America would be allotted $72,000 in administrative fees.
