BACKGROUND:

On October 6, 2020, the Board of County Commissioners approved and authorized the acquisition by negotiation of Assessor's Parcel No. 177-07-105-001 (Christopher & Savita Luzak), needed for improvements on Decatur Boulevard between Cactus Avenue and Warm Springs Road.  An offer was presented in the amount of $36,600; however, the property owner rejected the offer and counter offered at $65,106.  Upon extensive negotiations between Clark County Public Works staff and the property owner, a proposed settlement has been reached in the amount of $43,920.  Authorization to approve and authorize the proposed settlement is now being sought from the Board.
