BACKGROUND:

On June 21, 2022 the Board of County Commissioners approved the use of up to $1,000,000 of Clark County Fiscal Recovery Funds to boost the startup of technology-based businesses within our community.  The office of Community & Economic Development has worked with a local non-profit, StartUpNV, to develop a new entrepreneurship assistance program focused on underserved communities most impacted by COVID-19.

The DEI Startup Business Incubator program will work with up to 100 Clark County residents for a two-year period to provide hands on training for first time entrepreneurs to evolve to venture capital worthy businesses. At least 50% of participants must identify as women, minority, veteran, physically challenged or LGBTQIA+.

Participants will attend a 10-week bootcamp with subject matter experts and mentors in a co-working facility designed to foster innovation.
